Stranded

I have the pleasure of meeting many international guests visiting the beautiful Hawkes Bay region while on sightseeing and winery tours. 

After a tour a few weeks ago I received a phone call at around 4 pm from one of the friendly staff at the Napier i-Site asking for help. Two passengers had missed the boat literally and needed to be transported to the next port, Tauranga. 

We arrange to pick them up from the i-Site with two drivers just before 5 pm and had the Canadian couple in a Tauranga hotel by 9:30 pm, we finally arrived home at 2 am. Even had time to stop off at the stunning Taupō lake for some photos and refreshments! The couple hadn't been on a tour but looked at the wrong departure information, as there was two ships in Napier Port that day. They expressed extreme gratitude once we finally arrived at the hotel. 

Sometimes you have to go the extra mile.
